Jeffrey Mason Jones is the immediate past president of the North Carolina Chess Association. When the current administration took over, a number of questions were raised pertaining to Jones' extravagant personal expenditures, mismanagement of funds and dubious and incomplete accounting practices. Hence, NCCA President Neal Harris ordered an investigation whereby he required two separate accountants to examine the records which were provided by Mr. Jones. The following letters are opinions voiced by the accountants and other current NCCA Officers and advisers involved.
