Leland:
I was curious about that "huge" scholastic tournament last weekend, so, I went to the NCCA website to find out. To my amazement there was nothing posted about the tournament at all? Is that normal? Jason Mytrysak Jason:
One would assume that information about the largest (643 entries) and most expensive ($40,000+) tournament in North Carolina history would promptly be posted for all members to see!? (complete with results, images, games, personal interest stories, and a thorough "official" accounting, of course). Unfortunately, other than an obscure link to the "unofficial printout," the only ad I see of any interest would be the one about a tournament for "Bobby Fisher?" (They surely couldn't be glorifying that well know skofflaw and anti-semite Ex-world Champion Bobby Fischer? - He spells his name with a "c"!) and an "all girls open?" about which I shall refrain from commenting...) Unfortunately, my answer is, yes, that is normal!? Why don't you direct your questions to the President of the NCCA on their 'message board' or by phone?! (...he doesn't like E-mail?!) Good luck...
