2013 Charlotte City Chess Championship -- Prize Fund Increased to $2,150 plus Trophy in All Sections! -- The Charlotte

members strong, is proud to present the 2013 Charlotte City Chess
Championship which will take place on
Aug 3-4. The quiet and
well lighted 7th floor ballroom "with a
view" at the Dowd YMCA on
Morehead St. will host at least 64 players in 4 sections who will
share the $2,150
prize fund! This
event is open to all USCF members!
- Scholastic Players Welcome! - There are many restaurants within a 5 minute drive from the site. Celebrated Organizer and Tournament Director from the Asheboro Chess Club, Tom Hales, will use the computer for all pairings! (Half point byes available for all but last round). The media has been notified and a great chess tournament will transpire! Every USCF member in the Charlotte area is welcome to participate. E-mail charlottechessclub@gmail.com to place your name on the list of "Players who Intend to Participate" and pay the "Early Entry Fee" of $40 at the site! |
