Chess Camp at UNCC (Scholastic)

I will be
conducting a chess camp at UNC Charlotte for
rising 5th graders thru 12th graders from Jul 22-26. This camp
is part of UNC Charlotte's Camps on
Campus program. Each day will be themed around
a stylistically impressive historical chess player.
We will examine their contribution to chess (their
games and games of similar players). For each famous
player, we will observe one of their favorite
opening systems and then the campers will have an
opportunity to contest a "thematic" game in that
opening system. We will also host a USCF
rated chess tournament. Note: It is NOT
necessary to have a USCF membership before signing
up for this class.
