It's good to hear from you. But, respectfully, sir, I must disagree with your assessment of the past. According to Wadford's statement, that information should be shared for future members. And, the future is now. Why should Jones be protected? Did you not read the erroneous post he just made about me? Right now, the NCCA message board is being used exclusively to bash NM Leland Fuerstman. Even though the "terms of use" strictly forbid personal attacks, the President even chimed in with his 2 cents? - And, I believe that he is supposed to be the "moderator?"

As Newsom continues to be relentless with his blather, it does absolutely no good for the entire chess community. Yet, he NEVER answers any of the questions that I ask, and as editor of the only "freedom of speech" chess site in the state, I have an obligation to my members and readers. I have a right to my opinion and I have a responsibility to ask questions. And, that is all I have EVER done.

Again, if you want all of this to go away, ask them to remove their posts and I shall do the same. NMLF

Thank you, Neal. But, I would rather wait and have you put a bug in someone's ear so we can be done with this.
The NCCA is facing a multitude of problems right now. A number of concerned members want to see the minutes of the meeting where the members voted to give up their right to vote?! (Some see that as a great injustice to make changes to the Articles of Incorporation without the knowledge and approval of the members...). The current system of allowing one individual to hand pick and place people in their positions seems to have backfired. Furthermore, since the NCCA has so many qualified Directors and Organizers within their ranks, why would they "farm out" our biggest and best events? The question is, who was the president a couple of years ago who decided to farm out the last few major NC tournaments and what private company was it assigned to? Is there any chance that was Gary Newsom and Gary Newsom's company? If so, some view that as a huge conflict of interest?? Furthermore, there are never any "minutes" to explain "internal agreements" and there is NEVER any accounting which would show how much money the NCCA gets for any event. A few years back, the deal was that if a promoter wished to run a tournament for the NCCA, he was required to pay back $9 per entry!! It is my understanding that "someone" suspiciously reduced that to 50 cents per entry? The fact is, the officers and Directors associated with the NCCA could organize and conduct those events for themselves as is required by the Articles of Incorporation and make all of the profit for the NCCA! As they should!! But, Newsom would be disappointed with that, and everyone must do what Newsom wants to do... (because, he IS the NCCA!?) The fact is, his misleading opinions do not represent all of the members of the NCCA anymore than mine represent all of the members of the CCC!? He just has some skewed notion that everyone should agree with his corrupted ideas and absurd allegations?! Finally, please remind yourself that all of this blather has resulted from my posting a message asking questions about the upcoming election... and, as usual, Newsom responds with "personal attacks" which have absolutely nothing to do with the issues at hand.

Anyway, have them remove all posting referring to me and I shall do the same. In effect, if they agree to stop telling lies about me, I will stop telling the truth about them...
