138 - I'm interested in getting involved in chess at the club level.  My brief experience with a club in Virginia Beach what quite enjoyable.  I made contact with the Tiger Chess Association, and was directed to your club.  Unfortunately, Charlotte seems a bit hard to work into my schedule during the school year, being a father of 4 and living in Mocksville.  My contact from Tiger Chess mentioned that there are in fact some players in your club that make the trip from Mocksville on a routine basis.  What course of action might you recommend for me to make some contacts in the club scene, and maybe enter some tournaments (on the weekends)?  Do I have much more hope than playing online throu USCF? At this point, I'd just like to meet someone from my area who has a strong game and wouldn't mind helping me improve mine. Any assistance you can offer will be greatly appreciated.
