Leland, Could you do an old friend a favor and give a plug on Wedneday for the upcoming Gamecock Open I? You can find all the info at scchess.org. I modeled it after the successful tournaments you run on a monthly basis. The location is great, right in the heart of downtown Columbia. There are plenty of nice restaraunts nearby, and there is a convenient eatery adjacent to the tournament hall with a Pizza Hut, Chick-Fila, and a few other mini-restaurants, along with a large dining area that is well suited for post-game analysis/skittles. The tournamenthall itself is illuminated by florescent bulbs, and its a nice quiet environment with plenty of space, (enough room to comfortably sit about 40 players, with available reserve rooms to handle roll-over) I'm hoping to have a solid turn-out, and would love to see some of the Charlotte players make an appearance. I'm hoping to make this a monthly event. This one is kind of a market-tester. Thanks, James
