Hi
Leland, I hope you're doing well. I'm glad the club is still going
strong, it's good that you bring "The Giant" out to play, he is a busy guy I am sure, my brother tells me he is a teacher at Harding Univ. High School and a professor at JC Smith University, not to mention that all his peers consider him a great teacher! Send my congratulations to all the CCC players of the year. IM Tapia. *********************************************************** Daniel: Great to hear from you. I assume you are living in Colombia, South America. Yes? We are honored to have "Andrey the Giant" in our mix. His chess skill is only surpassed by his warm personality and friendly attitude. Considering your FIDE results over the past year, when and how did you become an IM? We all want to know more! Feliz navidad Leland *********************************************************** Yes I am living in Bogota, Colombia, a great city not without its faults. I won't officially be an IM until the next FIDE congress but I won it at the Sub-zonal of Colombia. The top two go to Caribbean zonal in Dominican Republic. There was supposed to be more competition for the two places but I am guessing a lot the Colombians who "could" have won it were doing other things.
