Greetings from Ian Morton, Perhaps you remember me from CCC a few years ago. I'm in Charleston, SC now. I'm looking for other Carolina players who might want to car pool to PA for the World Open. Below is a post intended for your forums. Take Care. Re: World Open Is anyone else thinking about going to the world open in PA? I'm going up for the 4 day schedule and wanted to know if anyone wants to car pool. I found a really nice youth hostel in the north-west corner of Philadelphia for $23 a night. It's only 15 minutes from the tourney site, with free parking. It's located in a quiet area of town, inside Fairmount park. Apparently the hostel has had quite a few chess players in previous years. My plans are to leave Charleston in the morning Saturday June 30th and return Thursday July 5th. I'm likely to spend early mornings taking a walk in the park and check out the night life in Philly a couple nights. If you'd like to share the driving / gas expenses and might enjoy discussing our games over a good beer at a local pub, call me at 843-813-8968 or send an email to Axiom27@gmail.com.
