Congratualtions and kudos are in order for

"the Babe" Mabe (2298) who defeated Shawn
McIntosh (1909) and Jacob Parrish (1947) before sustaining a Rd:3 loss
to NM Ron Simpson (2325). However, on the final day of competition, Mabe bounced back to win the
remaining two rounds against powerhouses SM Miles Ardaman (2353) and
Virginia interloper NM Rusty Potter (2200) and earn the Title of 2007 North Carolina Champion
with a score of 4-1 winning $505. Keep up the great play,
