We are pleased to
report that we have recently experienced an influx of
stronger players at the Charlotte Chess Club! In addition, many new faces have
joined our ranks! It is, therefore, my pleasure to
announce that the winner of the Top Section of Skyland XXXIII will
receive an original Karim
Rashid designer set valued at $200! (Standard
tie-break systems in effect).
In our last event, 22 different players, 11 in the Top Section, showed up to participate in tournament competition. But, why not? The food is delicious and competitively priced, the members are engaging and friendly, the competition is fierce and a smiling NM Leland Fuerstman is always there to personally greet every one who arrives! The G90 round begins at 7:45pm sharp, after which players stay and analyze their games or play speed chess. Skyland stays open 24 hours... All beverages available!
