McNeill Makes
Big Impression in Charlottesville!
 After a strong
start at the Charlottesville Open last weekend where
he defeated a Class "A" player in Rd:1, defeated NM
Oladapo Adu (2323) (See
Game 1081) in Rd:2 and Expert Quinten Moore
(2170) in Rd: 3, CCC Expert Jonathon "Livingston" McNeill (2032) found
himself sitting on Bd:1 on Sunday morning. Though he
had an edge in Rd:4 against eventual winner NM Yuri
Barnakov (2317) and Expert Shawn Pealer (2175) in
Rd:5, he faltered in the end to finish with 3-2 but
gained 36
rating points to regain his Expert status! Just
another CCC expert moving up!
