of the Metrolina area's most ambitious mental jousters locomoted

in order to participate in Rd:3 of Wendy's LII. In
the Top Section, still clinging to a share of the lead with
2-1,
NM John "Night-Train" Lane (2069) was derailed by CCC

"Johnny" Tapia (2160) who squeezed the point out of an R&P ending.
Also sharing the lead with 2-1, Patrick
"Flanker" McCartney (1997) effectively defended against Tom "Terrific"
Waymouth (1982). Meanwhile, Michael "See You Are; See You Are You"

Reverend Bernard "King" Baker (1851) with Jon "Cigras"
Pietras
(1802). In the "B" Section, gifted chess scientist
Danesh
"DD" Dadgar (1712)
savagely slaughtered Michael "the Savage" Savage (1643) to remain as the
only 3-0 in the tournament. (Congrats
to Michael Savage who last weekend
captured clear 1st Place with 4.5-.5
at the Warshauer Memorial in Wilmington!) In addition, Chris "Dirty

Twin" Chin (1591) shared the point with
Jeremy "Irons" Davenport

Tom "the Twin" Chen (1491) made peace
with Dave Eadie (Unr). In the Lower Section, commuter
from Columbia, SC Vijay "Singh" Sethuraman (1377) defeated
