Schedule Rounds now Begin at 7:30

Charlotte, NC 10-19-05:
A
grand total of 44 of the Metrolina
area's most competitive chess players congregated at this grand
ballroom where gifted artists perform more commonly known as Wendy's in
order to participate in Wendy's
LXX.
In the Top Section, it's "Hail to the Chief"
as the pride of Mint Hill, NC, CCC bossman NM Leland "Perro Grande" Fuerstman (2024) held off a
"prepared defense" by 2005 NC Class
"A" Champion Jonathan
"Enforcer" Munnell (1832) (3-1) (See Game 0520)
who reluctantly agreed to a Draw
allowing Fuerstman to take
clear 1st Place with 4-1 and save $50 and a Free Entry
into Bertucci's V on November 19! Clear
2nd Place with 3.5-1.5 was CCC's
#2 player, the pride of Crouse, NC, NM Frankie
"Neutrino" Newton (2303) who
warmly greeted visiting SC Expert Keith "Chuckie" Eubanks (2099). In
addition, Expert Gary "the
Nuisance" Newsom (2006) (3-2) made a nuisance of himself
to Patrick "Fabio" McCartney (2025) and upstart Chris "Dirty Harry" Callahan (1773) made his day against
Thomas "Dolby" Paradis (1843). In the "B" Section, Laura "Karate Kid" Lee (1788) schooled instructor Keith
"Sherlock" Holmes (1667) to take clear 1st
Place with 4-1 and win Free Entry

Eadie (1573), Viktor "the Mad Russian" Ozherelyev (1592) drowned in
the Jonathan "Henry" Hudson (1714) river and Amelia "Wheels" Wheeless (1627) made peace with Robert Halliday
(1525). In the "C" Section,
dispite the fact that he didn't even show up for the round, Spencer "Jazzman" Singleton (1498) finished =1st-2nd Place with Ervon "Wooden" Nichols (1474) who
lost the final round to Winfred
"Guns" Gatlin (1486) each with 3 points. In
addition, Colette "Wheels" Wheeless (1573)
handled Marnzell Hand (1600) while Samuel "Reshevsky" Xin (1555) defeated Dyrus "What is
it good for?" Wuor (1254). In the Lower
Section, sharing =1st-2nd Place with a dismal 2.5-2.5 were Wuor and Chris Kohlhepp (1318). All
