By NM Leland Fuerstman
Curcuru Still Leads Top;
Savage? "B"; PeBenito "C"; Villone Lower Section of Wendy's XLVII
Charlotte,
NC 7-30-03: A rather
light turnout of only 34
of the greater Charlotte area's most inundated competitors
parked their vessels at this boat dock of higher thinkers more commonly
known as Wendy's in order to participate in Rd:4 of Wendy's
XLVII.
In the Top Section, Michael "See You Are; See You
Are You" Curcuru (1876) requested and was granted a half point Bye
to lead with 3-1.
Meanwhile, NM Leland "Boss" Fuerstman (2017)
attempted to win, but was unable versus NM Daniel "Deep" Liu
(2000) (See Game 0324)
as Patrick "Flanker" McCartney (1931) also nicked NM Justin
"Dog" Daniel (2215) for a Draw.
In addition, CCC Favorite Son, 2003 Scholastic Champion, 17 year old phenom
Expert Daniel "Johnny" Tapia (2128) was upset brilliantly by Jesse
"Skip-to-my" Liu (1860).
In the "B" Section, "C" player Michael "the Savage" Savage
(1588) chopped down Tarokh "the Oak" Taefi (1721) to lead with 3.5-.5.
Meanwhile, Danesh "DD" Dadgar (1647) exposed the good Reverend
Bernard "King" Baker (1684), Slobodan "the Mad Serb" Sinanovic

(1698) accepted a time scramble gift from Marnzell Hand (1600)(See
Game 0323). In the "C" Section,
though he did not move a pawn,Dino
PeBenito (Unr) still leads with 3-0.
Also, Chris "Dirty Harry" Callahan (1661) made his day against
