CCC Adds 2 More Masters to Roster! NM Justin Daniel

NM Harold Mouzon have both unofficially acheived
the Title of National Master with updated ratings of 2204.

Ozherelyev Middle, Essex Lower Section of Wendy's XXXVIII Charlotte,
NC 9-4-02: A rather light turnout of
only 32 of the Metrolina area's most creative
thinkers forwent watching the nightly sitcoms
and instead acted out both comedy and tragedy as they participated in Rd:3
of Wendy's XXXVIII. In the Top Section, leading
with a perfect 3-0, the CCC's #1 active
player, NM Frankie "Blitz" Newton (2236) outsmoked Jon "Cigars"
Pietras (1776) while NM Leland "El-Presidente" Fuerstman
(2021) squeezed
out an OCB's & Queen ending versus NM John "Night-Train" Lane (2091).(See
Game 0249) In addition, Patrick "Flanker" McCartney
(1931) bankrupt Dave "RichMan" Richards (1719). In the Middle Section,
Viktor
"the Mad Ukrainian"
Ozherelyev (1420)
leads with perfect 3-0 after defeating
the good Reverend Bernard "Jim" Baker (1603), Daryl "Flash" Gordon
(1516) used his raygun on Danesh "the Mad Iranian" Dadgar (1619), "Smokin"

K.O.'d Spencer "Jazzman" Singleton (1420) and Frank "Moo"

(1628) split the point with Nathan "TechDude" Eerenberg (1535).
In the Lower Section,
Todd Essex (1084) assassinated
Darrell "Wilkes" Booth (1033) to lead with a perfect 3-0.
Other Lower Section winners were: Hoa Lee, Hassan
Hashemloo, Mike Richards, Sheila Blackwell, Copeland
Blackwell, George Cobb, Kevin Huang and 7 year old phenom Joshua
"Moo" Mu (1118) who checkmated Richard Tomlin (1395).

in 4 Sections of Smokehouse XXX. In the Top
Section,
recent arrival from Ecuador, Angel
Mera (2150p) scored a perfect 3-0
and took home $100 after wins over
Patrick McCartney (1886), Jairo Moreira (2150p), and SM Klaus Pohl (2225).
Equal 2nd-6th were SM Klaus Pohl, Jairo Moreira, Keith
Eubanks, Tatiana Duarte and Patrick McCartney each with2-1winning$10.
In
the "B"Section, Deneil
"Sean" Brazell (1665) also
scored 3-0 and pocketed $100
after victories over Bob Moore (1720), Slobodan Sinanovic (1720) and Scott
Hunter (1719). Equal 2nd-4th were Dave Richards,Scott
Hunter and James MacDougall each with 2-1
winning $17. In the "C" Section,
Frank
"Chessman" Johnson (1475) likewise
scored 3-0 winning
$100. Equal 2nd-5th were Laurin Keller,
Richard
Tomlin,Euphemia Mu and Danesh Dadgar each with 2-1
winning $12.50.
In the Lower Section, team Wheeless overpowered the field
as North Carolina's version of "Venus & Serina,"Colette
Wheeless (1304) and Amelia Wheeless (1173) won their first 2
games and Drew in the final round to score 2.5-.5
