94
Charlotte, NC 2-20-08:
A moderate turnout of 21
of the most dedicated mental jousters in the 2 Carolinas converged upon
this primary polling
place more commonly known as Wendy's in order to participate in
Rd:3 of Wendy's 94. In the Top Section,
SCCA President
Expert Keith "Chuckie" Eubanks (2068) (who
drives from Columbia, SC each week!) was welcomed to Mecklenburg
Country by one of Charlotte's finest who presented him with a citation
for speeding 80 in a 55 resulting in a $325 ticket??! To make matters
worse, Eubanks only had 59 minutes
remaining to finish his game whereupon NM Leland "Ennui" Fuerstman (2013) played sharply and
emerged victorious (See Game 0727) to share the
lead with the CCC's #2 player, the
Pride of Crouse, NC, 2007 CCC Player

ditching his Queen prevailed in a
time scramble with Michael "Bolton" Kliber (1933) each with 2-1. In
Addition, 2007 CCC Class "A" Player
of the Year Expert Gary "NightCrawler" Newsom
(2065) outplayed 13 year old phenom Samuel "Xman" Xin (1989) while 16
year old phenom Dominique "the
Dominator" Myers (1825) used
just enough kryptonite to beat down mild mannered reporter Clarke
"Kent" Brosi (1746). In the "B" Section,
Peter "the Greek" Giannatos (1765) prevailed over Paul "Survivalist" Lucas (1739) to share
the lead with 1
point. In the "C" Section, Ankit "Butch" Jivan (1580) got by Devin Davis to
lead with 1
point. In the Lower Section, Andrew "Lefty" Turner (Unr) defeated Joe Shirlen
(1051) to share the lead with 2 points.
