NEWS & VIEWS 10-16-08
Tkatchouk Leads
Top; Morais "B"; Alexander "C"; Carerros Lower Section of
Seafarer III - Just Look for the 3-D Whale!!
Charlotte, NC 10-15-08: An average turnout of 14 of the most comfortable,
contented and well fed chess players in the Metrolina area converged
upon this apolitical mental caucus boardroom more
commonly known as the Seafarer
in order to participate in Rd:4
of Seafarer III. In the Top Section, the
CCC's #3 player, the pride of
Moskow, Russia via Mexico! Expert Dr. Vladimir Vladimirovich
Tkatchouk (2104) played actively but ultimately stumbled against "American
Chess
Party" representative NM Leland
"Ennui" Fuerstman (2000) (See Game 0764)
yet still leads with 3-1. In the "B" Section, in spite of the fact
that he was defeated by Charlie
"Tenor" Carerros (1350) Alain
"Rastamon" Morais (1738) still leads with 2-1. In
addition, Nick
"Check" Matelli (1614) hung
tough against Vadims Mudrovs (1534). In the "C" Section, Michael Alexander (1416) got by Lee
"Roger" Moore (1157) to lead with 2-1. In the Lower Section, Carerros leads with 4-1. In
addition, "Smokin" Corey Frazier
(1096) K.O.'ed Winfred "Guns" Gatlin (1329).
In
order to observe all results see "Current
Crosstable". (The
facility was great! Everybody was happy! We hope that more players will
join us
next week for G60!) - So far, no one has
lost on time! LF
