Fuerstman Leads

Seafarer IV
Our
100th 5 Round Event Since Wendy's
I * 2-10-99!
Charlotte, NC 11-5-08: A slightly weaker
turnout of 10 of the most
amicable chess players in the Charlotte area converged upon this
polling station more commonly known as the Seafarer (Just
look for the 3-D Whale) in
order to participate in Rd:2 of Seafarer IV. In the Top Section,
the
CCC's #6 player and pride of Mint
Hill, NM Leland "Ennui" Fuerstman (2011) was forced to
sacrifice the exchange against Derek "Cats" Smith (1753) but somehow
survived (See Game 768) to
lead with 1.5-.5.
In the "B" Section, Alain "Rastamon" Morais
(1727) bested Vadims "the Mad Latvian" Mudrovs (1538) to lead with 2-0. In the "Lower Section," Winfred "Guns" Gatlin (1325) outplayed upstart
Charlie "Tenor" Carerros (1437) to lead with
2-0.
In
order to observe all results see "Current
Crosstable". (The
facility was great! Everybody was happy! We hope that more players will
join us
next week to dine, socialize and play chess!)
- Long live the CCC! LF * - Quark VIII - Nov
